Michael Jackson Montgomery, aka "The Bleeding Cowboy" is an American pop country star from Dallas, TX. Originally part of what he calls a "Mega entertainment franchise branching out across multiple media outlets," he was signed to a prominent, major Nashville Music Row record label along with his young daughter who goes by the name Natalie (just one name, like Sting). The plan was for Michael Jackson Montgomery to be big in country, and for Natalie to be big in pop, with a television series, worldwide tours, a movie, and of course music and videos. This "mega franchise" was manufactured to help boost sales for this Nashville Music Row record label that like most of the recording industry, was suffering from declining sales.
But when the daddy/daughter tandem of Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus--the real-life inspiration for the Michael Jackson Montgomery / Natalie mega-franchise--hit a snag in February of 2011, the major Nashville Music Row record label pulled the plug on the entire project.
Now Michael Jackson Montgomery is taking songs that were scientifically formulated to be mega-hits by professional Nashville songwriters, and trying to make a go of it in country music by himself. He hopes to claim the top-of-the-charts, headliner status he feels he deserves. He is also actively seeking endorsements from Axe Body Spray, Takamine Guitars, and Hyundai Motor Corp.
On March 7th it was announced that Michael Jackson Montgomery will be releasing an album of songs recorded during the pre-production of the mega-franchise called The Bleeding Cowboy on April 9th. His first smash single "Ice Cold Beer In A Pickup Truck" on August 21st. The second single "I Support The Troops More Than You" is currently climbing the charts.
